Jobs
Junior Web Designer
The Junior Web Designer works closely with the Design Director to translate creative concepts into visual web based solutions. What does that mean? It means you work with the Design Director to turn ideas into kick ass websites. This position deals more with the visual side of creating a website, but getting down and dirty with some code is still a part of it. The Junior Designer creates website concepts, wire frames, layouts, and proofs.
- Minimum 1 year experience designing and creating websites. College degree in design preferred, but not required if you've got natural skills and the portfolio to back it up.
- Familiar with the process of creating websites with a strong understanding of web usability, layout, and navigation design. Over all you should know how to design an awesome website that is easy to use and looks good.
- Able to work on your own with minimal guidance with the ability to step up and make your own decisions, you are not in school anymore and you don't need someone to hold your hand. (This is also know as Project Based Cohones)
- Able to design under the pressure of a tight deadline (doesn't happen that often)
- In-touch with the web design industry and aware of new ideas and technology available (reading industry blogs, books, and tutorials)
- We need someone that is positive, energetic, motivated, willing to work in a team environment, blah blah blah... essentially you should be fun to hang out with since we all spend most of our day together. Plus we like to get together outside of work and go skiing, snowboarding, etc...
